Safe and Secure for One-handed Operating

We like the Kershaw Cryo Folding Knife because it`s durable, but we love it because it`s also safe to
handle confidently. Kershaw`s pioneering SpeedSafe Assisted Opening system, as well as their
secure frame locking system, are features cleverly designed into this knife.
What we love most about these two features is that they make operating this knife safer, faster,
and simpler for left- or right-handed users. The SpeedSafe Opening system deploys the blade

faster because the system only requires a light push or pull back of the flipper or thumb stud.
The secure frame locking system prevents the blade from closing prematurely by blocking the
blade`s backend until you`re ready for the knife to close. To accomplish this, you merely need to
push the frame to the side to unlock the blade then fold the blade back into the handle.
One fault of the SpeedSafe Assisted Opening system is that the torsion bar that is crucial for
ensuring the system works has on occasion broken prematurely or malfunctioned. On the bright
side, this has only been the case for a minute percent of users, and since this knife falls under
Kershaw`s lifetime warranty policy, it can easily be replaced free of charge. The torsion bar for the
SpeedSafe Assisted Opening system lasts for approximately 10,000 openings.

Stainless-Steel from Tip to End
The Kershaw Cryo Folding Knife is made of durable steel from the tip of its blade to its handle.
Kershaw's precision heat treated steel provides resilience to this knife that allows it to remain
resistant to corrosion, eroding, rusting, and damage from abrasive or adhesive wear or use.
The Cryo's steel blade is coated in Titanium Carbo-Nitride to assist in edge retention and further
limit blade wear and corrosion from abrasives or corrosives such as water.
Clean Precision and Life-Saving Advantages
The steel blade of the Kershaw Cryo Folding Knife is 2.75" long and straight-edged. This
combination makes it an efficient multi-purpose tool for any fisherman. While using a longer blade
may be more helpful when skinning or filleting your catch of the day, longer-bladed folding knives
aren't as practical for everyday carry.
A longer blade means the knife may not only be longer but possibly heavier and less manageable
too. Making fire kindling, cutting fishing line, or protecting yourself if you're ever facing a
potentially life-threatening situation are all purposes for which you may prefer this smaller straight-
edged blade.
Additionally, larger blades are harder to conceal and can be slower to deploy, so if you think you
may be in a situation where survival is the difference between a matter of milliseconds, a folding
knife with a smaller blade may be what you need.
There aren't many disadvantages to medium-sized blades besides them being harder to fillet larger
fish with, but straight-edged blades do have a few significant drawbacks. Straight-edged blades are
ineffective for performing sawing motions or doing pull cuts. Additionally, straight-edged blades
tend to be thicker than blades with serrated edges. However, straight-edged blades do have some
notable advantages such as their ease of control and more accurate precision.
Tip-up or Tip-down You Decide
One feature that we love about this knife is its versatile 4-position pocketclip that enables you the
ultimate freedom in carrying your knife. The Kershaw Cryo Folding Knife's pocketclip is custom-
fitted to its weight, size, style, and design, and allows tip-up or tip-down carry on both its left and
right sides.
